Clean Energy Job Training (COming soon)

Empower the next generation of clean energy leaders in DFW's underserved communities

HDG University believes that everyone should be future-ready with great job opportunities. We are working with several local agencies to be a part of the Communities Local Energy Action Program (LEAP) initiative, which provides young adults (ages 18-25) with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the rapidly growing clean energy sector. Through a unique combination of technical assistance, direct funding, and community engagement, LEAP aims to equip residents with the tools to become active participants in building a more sustainable and equitable future.

Why LEAP Matters:

  • Bridging the gap: LEAP addresses the lack of access to education, training, and employment opportunities in the clean energy sector for individuals in underserved communities.
  • Empowering youth: LEAP equips young adults with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the clean energy industry.
  • Fostering economic development: LEAP creates new job opportunities and drives economic growth in DFW's communities.
  • Promoting environmental stewardship: LEAP empowers residents to become active participants in the transition to a clean energy economy.
  • Building a diverse workforce: LEAP encourages participation from all backgrounds and fosters a more inclusive clean energy sector.

What We Do:

  • Technical assistance: LEAP provides expert guidance to community organizations in developing high-quality training and certification programs tailored to local needs.
  • Direct funding: LEAP offers grants to community organizations to support program implementation and participant expenses, removing financial barriers to participation.
  • Outreach and education: LEAP raises awareness of clean energy career opportunities through targeted campaigns and community events.
  • Employer partnerships: LEAP connects trained residents with local clean energy employers, facilitating job placement and apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Technology access: LEAP ensures equitable access to computers, the internet, and digital resources to enable participation in training programs and online resources.
  • Community engagement: LEAP actively involves residents in program design, implementation, and leadership development, fostering a collaborative and sustainable approach.

Join the LEAP Movement:

  • Get involved: Learn about volunteer opportunities and ways to support the LEAP initiative.
  • Donate:  Your contribution will directly impact the lives of young adults in DFW by providing access to valuable training and resources.
  • Spread the word: Share information about LEAP and encourage others to get involved in building a brighter future for DFW.

Together, we can empower DFW's youth to lead the way toward a clean energy future!
